In calmest of fashions, Darrell Mathes has been one of the most influential minds in snowboarding over the past three decades. Through style and creativity, the Portland, Oregon native entered the consciousness of snowboarding’s movers and shakers during street snowboarding’s proliferation in the early 2000s, particularly with his appearances in Mack Dawg’s “Follow Me Around” and in the breakthrough movie, “Love Hate.”

Beginning his 20th year as part of the Vans Snow family, Darrell can claim over a dozen video parts across multiple production companies, where his textbook style and thoughtful trick selection earned him a reputation as one of snowboarding’s most accomplished street riders. And in parallel, his contributions to snowboarding’s culture and community have fortified his legacy on a short list of individuals who have dedicated everything to the lifestyle he loves. Vans is very proud to share this double-decade milestone with Darrell through a one-of-a-kind Invado Pro.

Instep Flex Zone – The Instep Flex Zone functions to maintain natural ankle flexion in your boot, whether in or out of your bindings.

FIT

Powercuff Strap – Providing extra support at the top of the boot for increased stability and response. Its configuration gives riders customizable levels of engagement and the option of wrapping the strap around the internal liner or the exterior tongue.

Pleasurecuff – The supple elasticity of the PleasureCuff delivers a cushioned, comfortable fit that keeps your calves supported.

LINER

V2 Ultracush with Smartwool Liner – This inner features Smartwool merino wool fabric, which transfers and eliminates moisture. An UltraCush layer provides all-day comfort with minimal seams, and a neoprene forefoot gives a natural flex. A dual-density heat-moldable core is bolstered by the latest X-Cage--extra security and heel hold that keeps you in contact with your board at all times.

V2 Boot Harness – Customize your heel hold with the V2 harness as it works in tandem with the V2 liner to provide enhanced support and personalized fit.

LACING

Vans Hybrid Boa – The Hybrid system merges traditional lacing with the power of Boa closure at the instep and the adjustable flex control of the Custom Slide Guide for secure, targeted heel hold and true custom comfort.

Vans Custom Slide Guide – Anatomical shape provides adjustable fit anywhere along the instep area for added comfort and unrivaled heel hold.

FOOTBED

V2 POPCUSH Footbed – A dual density footbed that combines impact cushioning with energy transfer, the V2 POPCUSH fights fatigue with anatomical shaping, TPU arch support, a nylon moisture-wicking topsheet, and a coring design with airflow perforations.

SOLE

V2 Waffle Pro – The V2 Waffle Pro is a progressively inspired and capability-driven design built for both on and off snowboard performance. Uncompromising natural flex and a weight-reducing, impact-resisting UltraCush midsole provide incredible board feel, while a Vans-exclusive pattern and rubber compound give you the confidence you need to scramble the sidecountry with confidence.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Heat Retention 360º – All Vans snowboard boots feature a newly improved thermal retention layer that provides a 360° wrap of the toe box and between the outsole and the liner. This essential layer keeps heat in and cold out, ensuring all-day warmth and comfort.


ORDER FULFILMENT

Shipping is free NZ-wide on orders over $50*

Order under $50 are $6.99 to ship within New Zealand which is Rural also.

We do charge a $5 rural delivery charge on orders over $50 as this service is considerably more expensive to send. 

*$5 shipping for rural addresses - please select "I need rural delivery" at check out as to not delay your order being shipped.

When will I receive my Order? - Depending on what it is and how large your order is plays a big part on how long it will take.

Once we receive your order we will get it out to you as soon as possible. Some times the stock can be in our Queenstown store and needs to be brought over to Wanaka to ship out. Small items, once sent are on overnight NZ Post so should be 1-2 business days.

Larger items such as bags, skis, snowboards are sent with PBT and run on a 4-5 business days south island and 7-9 Days North Island. Sometimes these can take up to three weeks to the North Island so please allow time to get to you. These are also subject to delays due to staff shortages / Christmas madness etc. along the chain.

Please keep in mind that if you have a rural address this can add an extra day or two also.

In general, we ship our orders with CourierPost, which we run on a 1-2 day service with pickup at 3pm each day.  

Larger items, such as luggage, skis and snowboards, ship on an earlier service with PBT couriers. This is a fully traceable service. (Just to note: if it is a rural delivery, it can take a few more days depending on your local service.)

PICK UP IN STORE OPTION

Want to come collect your order from our store in Wanaka or Queenstown? Great! We will email you when your order is ready to collect. This can take from 2-4 business days depending on what it is.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

All the stock you see online is in New Zealand! Not from somewhere dodgy overseas.

Orders made during the weekend or on public holidays, when couriers do not operate, will be processed on the following business day or soon after.

Online is a crazy business and sometime inventory can get mucked up in the numbers, we may not have the ordered item on hand. If we cannot fulfil your entire order, within the stated time frames, we aim to contact you within 36hrs (Mon-Fri). 

Should you not receive an order confirmation or update please check your spam/junk filter in your email as it may have been filtered incorrectly. 

If an item ordered is unavailable for shipping, depending on your preference, we will:

  • Substitute another product for your order
  • Refund or credit your order.
  • Ship your order at a later date
  • Contact you when the requested item is back in stock

AUSTRALIAN SHIPPING

For Australian shipping, this is based on price so if you think it’s incorrect for what you are purchasing then contact us and we can get you a more accurate quote. This is a tracked service from NZ to Australia.

International shipping is non-refundable after the items have been sent.

*If your delivery is considered Rural / Urban by DHL or to Tasmania, where additional charges will apply, we will contact you to advise you of this charge. At no point will we change an additional amount without your authorization.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

International shipping is via DHL Couriers or New Zealand Post.
