Demo skis Grading & information:

All our USED DEMO skis at BaseNZ have been inspected and graded by our qualified, professional workshop technicians. Pre-inspection the skis are fully tuned at BASE Ultimate Workshop including base and side edge sharpening, bases are ground and any petex repairs done, finally they are waxed with an all temperature universal wax.

Each ski is been graded and priced according to their condition:

A GRADE

  • Appears to have been skied on 3-4 days.

  • Skis appear to have had light use and are in good condition.

  • Small chips above the sidewalls in front of and/or behind the bindings on less than 1/3 of ski.

  • May have minor top sheet chips or scratches (that don't penetrate the core).

  • Bindings have all DIN windows and in reasonably clean/tidy condition.

  • Bases have no major gouges.

  • Tip & tails are in good condition

  • Both brakes are straight and in good condition.

Bindings

Demo Bindings come pre-mounted and will accommodate any adult size alpine ski boot. Even though the bindings have been release tested, they must still be taken to a certified binding technician with your boots present before you use them for a visual inspection of your boots and to test the bindings with your specific height, weight, age, skier type, and boot sole length for your safety. Properly adjusted alpine ski bindings are the most important piece of safety equipment to help guard against injury on the slopes. Binding adjustments and checks must be done by a certified technician.

Rossignol Soul 7 HD Ski 2019

The Rossignol Soul 7 HD has established it's self as the go to all mountain freeride ski in New Zealand. The Air Tip 2.0 features a 3D design structure which allows the tip and tail to be thinner and lighter reducing swing weight. The reinforced Air Tip 2.0 offers more stability and control while integrating with the main body of the ski better for increased power transmission.

The Carbon Alloy Matrix frame makes the ski torsionally stiffer, enhancing edge grip and performance. This technology has been tested and verified in New Zealand! The Soul 7 HD features Powder Turn' a blend of standard camber underfoot which produces grip on hardpack and rocker in the tips and tails to give the ski float and ease of turn. Light Core' makes the ski 15% lighter than similar skis with the same dimensions making this an ideal backcountry ski. The Soul 7 HD carves turns on the groomers like no other rocker ski on the market, it grips and holds an edge all the way through the turn and yet it's powder hungry.

Features:

  • Air Tip 2.0

  • Carbon Alloy Matrix Frame

  • Sandwich MiniCap Construction

  • Paulownia Light Wood Core

  • Powder Turn Rocker

  • Camber underfoot

Geometry: 136/106/126

Radius: 17m @ 180cm

Weight: 1900g @ 178cm

Size Skier Weight (Lbs) Skier Weight (Kg)
172cm 130-149 58 - 68
180cm 150-179 69 - 82
188cm 180-200+ 83-90+

Powder Turn Rocker Newly redesigned to deliver even more versatility and superior flotation. A longer, more progressively rockered tip eliminates "tip flap" in variable snow and hardpack while the tapered, more powerful tail drops into soft snow, enhancing flotation and providing effortless steering with instant speed control. Traditional camber underfoot delivers power, energy and edge grip for groomed snow performance.

Light Wood The ultra-lightweight paulownia wood core construction reduces overall ski weight by 30% for enhanced agility, maneuverability, and control with no compromise to downhill performance.

Air Tip A patented technology exclusive to Rossignol. The tip is filled with air for maximum lightness and built to retain torsional rigidity. The ski's weight is redistributed, freeing the tip and tail of the ski and providing greater ease, safety and versatility. The center of gravity is closer to the middle of the ski, concentrating power under the skier's feet.

Carbon Alloy Matrix This brand new fiber is ushering in a new era of high efficiency materials. Combining extremely lightweight design with high mechanical properties, the Carbon Alloy Matrix raises the ski's performance across the board, whether in terms of grip and versatility, precision and permissiveness, or stability and maneuverability. The Carbon Alloy Matrix is the result of clever blend of carbon fiber and basalt fiber. Carbon provides boost, lightness and power transmission, while basalt contributes its shock-absorbing and stabilizing properties. Boost your skiing for a white knuckle experience!

Free VAS A visco elastomer material that smoothes the rocker/camber transition to reduce "tip flap," increasing stability, control and snow contact in changing snow.

Minicap Sandwich Yes, you can have both - sidewalls underfoot for edge grip and solid performance, cap at the tips and tails for lightness and durability.
