K2 Pinnacle 88 Ti Ski 2019
The Pinnacle 88 was introduced 2 years ago and quickly established itself in the line. Back with an updated construction featuring a fir and aspen blend reinforced with a layer of metal for stability at higher speeds. Capable of serious vert and speed, but also totally approachable for riders of all skill levels, the 88Ti is a fantastic all mountain explorer thanks to its all-terrain design and low swing weight. The Pinnacle 88 is a 50/50 ski, designed for both piste and off piste skiing, and to be honest it skis very well on both making it a perfect selection for New Zealand conditions.

You will not get the float that a wider ski provides in deep powder but in lower volumes and in the chop, crud, ice and slush the Pinnacle 88 has no problem. If you want a ski you know will not let you down, no matter the conditions, then the Pinnacle 88 is a great choice for you.
K2 continues to get the sidecut formula just right, and this ski (128/88/110) should continue the trend.

All-Terrain Rocker Designed for all ability levels, All-Terrain Rocker adds versatility and ease in all snow conditions. This profile features an elevated tip and tail for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edgehold in firmer conditions.
Built from the base up, a metal laminate construction consists of alternating layers of fiberglass and titanal above and below the core. Metal Laminates provide damp, accurate, unshakable performance, ideal for expert and advanced level skiers.
Nanolite Konic Core | Fir NANOlite K2 Konic Technology with Nanolite is found in K2's Freeride Pinnacle collection. It is a super lightweight, low-density aerospace grade composite core that runs through the center and extremities of the ski for reduced swing weight and added ease and control. 5% reduction in weight but a 15% reduction in swing weight.
TAPERED TIP AND TAIL
Our Freeride Stability skis are designed with not just a tapered tip, but also a slight amount of taper in the tail. A tapered tip shifts the widest part of the contact further back to reduce tip weight and deflection in soft and variable snow conditions. The tapered tail allows more control as you exit the turn to either accelerate out or scrub speed as the conditions dictate.
The patented Triaxial Braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled core, resulting in great torsional strength while retaining the lively flex patterns inherent in a wood core ski.
Hybritech Sidewalls Blending a sidewall construction underfoot with a full cap construction in the extremities. The sidewall section gives the ski accuracy, power and performance while the capped regions reduce overall ski weight and ease turn initiation and finish.
