The Format is absolutely packed with tech. It starts with a foundation of a zonal closure system and articulating cuff to reduce shell distortion and provide consistent heel hold. The shell lacing features the H4/M3 Zonal BOA® Fit System with TX3 BOA® Rope Laces. The upper shell lacing powered by an H4 Coiler BOA® dial and the lower shell lacing controlled by an M3 BOA® dial, allowing the rider to independently control the upper and lower zones of the boot for the perfect fit. 

The exterior uses bulletproof HDR Premium Synthetic materials - this helps to resist abrasion and make for a longer-lasting snowboard boot.  Inside, our Intuition® Pro Foam 3D Liner can be heat molded to the exact shape and size of your foot and ankle. We’ve added our heat-reflective SpaceHeater™ material to the boot to help keep feet warm and dry. 

Underfoot, K2’s all-new ultra-rugged Vibram® V5 Outsole provides industry leading traction and durability in all conditions and terrain. This Vibram® rubber compound is make up of at least 30% recycled rubber. Better grip, better for the environment. The V5 rubber outsole is wrapped around a midsole made up of a traditional EVA and K2’s proprietary Harshmellow™ material - helping to absorb impact, increase damping, and provide a more “quiet” feel while snowboarding.

H4/M3 ZONAL BOA® FIT SYSTEM:

Impact resistant, durable, and performance driven, the H4 BOA® Dial ejects on severe impact and is easily re-inserted into the boot. The H4 dial controls the upper shell lacing, while the M3 dial controls the lower shell lacing.

TX3 BOA® ROPE LACING:

A softer lace made specifically for snowboard boots that provides a more even fit over the body of the boot shell versus a steel lace.

3-POINT HARNESS LINER LACING:

A traditional style liner harness with a pull lace and three contact points hugs the ankle and provides additional support.

VIBRAM® V5 RUBBER OUTSOLE:

Our most premium rubber compound provides industry leading durability and grip and integrated with Harshmellow™ foam to absorb chatter and vibration.

INTUITION® SPACEHEATER:

A liner designed for comfort and warmth, from start to finish. It features reflective heat blanket panels that work to trap heat in and keep cold out. These reflective heat blankets work alongside heat moldable Intuition® foam, internal J-Bars, and 3D molded, dual- density EVA insoles to keep your foot comfortable and warm all day long.

HDR™ PREMIUM SYNTHETIC UPPER:

A premium PU material that utilizes a proprietary resin, substantially improving durability and wear resistance.

FLEX ZONE CALF PANEL:

A lycra-based stretch panel at the top of our Intuition® liners reduces unwanted pressure on calf muscles.

RUBBER REINFORCEMENT:

Abrasion resistant reinforced outsole rubber is placed in areas of high stress to extend the life of the boot and increase durability.

ENDO™ 2.0 CONSTRUCTION:

A tough and abrasion resistant heel-counter that helps retain the boot’s original flex and shape throughout the lifespan of the boot. 

HARSHMELLOW™ VIBRATION DAMPING:

Harshmellow™ is a magical dampening system that replaces industry standard foam dampening materials. Harshmellow™ dampens the specific target vibration for each product and works to create the smoothest ride imaginable.

Shipping is free NZ-wide on orders over $50*

Order under $50 are $6.99 to ship within New Zealand which is Rural also.

We do charge a $5 rural delivery charge on orders over $50 as this service is considerably more expensive to send. 

*$5 shipping for rural addresses - please select "I need rural delivery" at check out as to not delay your order being shipped.

When will I receive my Order? - Depending on what it is and how large your order is plays a big part on how long it will take.

Once we receive your order we will get it out to you as soon as possible. Some times the stock can be in our Queenstown store and needs to be brought over to Wanaka to ship out. Small items, once sent are on overnight NZ Post so should be 1-2 business days.

Larger items such as bags, skis, snowboards are sent with PBT and run on a 4-5 business days south island and 7-9 Days North Island. Sometimes these can take up to three weeks to the North Island so please allow time to get to you. These are also subject to delays due to staff shortages / Christmas madness etc. along the chain.

Please keep in mind that if you have a rural address this can add an extra day or two also.

In general, we ship our orders with CourierPost, which we run on a 1-2 day service with pickup at 3pm each day.  

Larger items, such as luggage, skis and snowboards, ship on an earlier service with PBT couriers. This is a fully traceable service. (Just to note: if it is a rural delivery, it can take a few more days depending on your local service.)

PICK UP IN STORE OPTION

Want to come collect your order from our store in Wanaka or Queenstown? Great! We will email you when your order is ready to collect. This can take from 2-4 business days depending on what it is.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

All the stock you see online is in New Zealand! Not from somewhere dodgy overseas.

Orders made during the weekend or on public holidays, when couriers do not operate, will be processed on the following business day or soon after.

Online is a crazy business and sometime inventory can get mucked up in the numbers, we may not have the ordered item on hand. If we cannot fulfil your entire order, within the stated time frames, we aim to contact you within 36hrs (Mon-Fri). 

Should you not receive an order confirmation or update please check your spam/junk filter in your email as it may have been filtered incorrectly. 

If an item ordered is unavailable for shipping, depending on your preference, we will:

  • Substitute another product for your order
  • Refund or credit your order.
  • Ship your order at a later date
  • Contact you when the requested item is back in stock

AUSTRALIAN SHIPPING

For Australian shipping, this is based on price so if you think it’s incorrect for what you are purchasing then contact us and we can get you a more accurate quote. This is a tracked service from NZ to Australia.

International shipping is non-refundable after the items have been sent.

*If your delivery is considered Rural / Urban by DHL or to Tasmania, where additional charges will apply, we will contact you to advise you of this charge. At no point will we change an additional amount without your authorization.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

International shipping is via DHL Couriers or New Zealand Post.

If your international order needs to be returned for a change of size or you change your mind BaseNZ.com is not responsible for return shipping costs. NOTE: If you are not in New Zealand, Australia or the USA then we do not have a shipping cost option at check out and will notify you with the shipping price once order has been placed via an online invoice.
