When Xavier De Le Rue isn't out with ice axes and sheer rock walls in his way, he needs something to do the job as an all mountain freeride board. The Sashimi is a Directional, Wide board with a big al rockered nose that provides insane amounts of float when the going gets deep. A hefty amount of traditional camber between the feet provides a massive amount of stability at speed and allows you to lay trenches on the groomers and mob chutes. This thing is gnarly.
RIDER ABILITY- Advanced / Expert
The Sashimi is designed to be ridden by advanced riders looking to take on big mountain freeride adventures. It features a stiff flex and a Camber dominant profile.
RIDING STYLE- All Mountain Freeride
A super versatile design that's designed to charge hard and go big, while still being more than capable all around the resort
A Stiffer flex allows for higher stability at speed, better drive out of turns, and higher amounts of pop. At the sacrifice of a bit of playfulness.
PROFILE- Directional Camber
Reverse Camber in the nose makes for an easy riding board with tons of float, while Camber going underfoot towards the tail makes for a board you can load up with plenty of pop and drive out of turns.
Directional boards allow for plenty of float and stability at speed due to their larger noses and smaller tails. But they sacrifice the ability to ride switch easily. Great for those who want to charge hard or ride pow!
An Aspen Wood core offers high performance. With tons of pop, snap, and drive from turns. While staying durable for years.
GLASS- Biax Fiberglass
This is a traditional Biaxial layout found on more playful boards. Fiberglass running at 0, and +90 degree angles are stitched together to provide a versatile flex both through the length of the board, as well as a more torsionally.
Sintered bases are found on higher end boards and absorb more wax than their extruded counterparts. This makes them super fast in a wide variety of snow conditions.
