Women's Specific skis are tailored to the different physiology of women skiers. Generally they are slightly softer flexing for a woman's generally smaller frame. As a womans center of gravity is lower then a mans a lot of womens skis now come with a ramped plate or track to keep your weight forward so as to use the shape of the skis for better turning.
